Cyanotype Workshop – presented by Laura Lisak
Interested in exploring alternative photographic processes?
Join local artist Laura Lisak for a special cyanotype workshop here at Quality Printers, this Saturday September 10th from 1:00-4:00 P.M.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used to use this process as a simple and low-cost way of producing copies of construction diagrams, commonly referred to as blueprints. You can also use this process to produce some really interesting artwork.
This workshop will teach participants about the cyanotype process and the basic chemistry involved. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own prints using a variety of techniques, including printed and hand drawn negatives as well as direct object printing.
To those of you who are planning on attending, Quality Printers is offering to print your images on acetate at no additional cost. Please contact Joseph Wimberly at jmw@qp2creative to arrange printing. For more information about the class contact Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org
